In many juridical trials, the reports submitted by the private detective are of invaluable importance, being the most convincing and conclusive evidence that lawyers have at their disposal. To make such an outcome possible, it is necessary for the private detectives to ratify the report at the hearing.

The figure of the Detective
It is advisable before referring to the Judicial Ratification, we indicate briefly the importance and the value that the detectives manifest at the courts of justice.
The Supreme Court defines the role of a Detective as a Privileged Witness or with documents. It is also defined as a qualified professional to obtain data and to provide evidence of interest and to ratify it at the Court of Justice.
The Supreme Court states that the photographic and video graphic materials, obtained legally as the current law requires, have probationary value, provided that it is ratified at the hearing of the trial by the Detective.
It is vitally important to emphasize that only the staff duly authorized by the Ministry of Interior comply with the denomination and the characteristics described above. Hiring staff operating outside the legal requirements incur high penalties, in addition to the lack of validity of any contribution which is misleadingly labelled as evidence.
